What is a composite mineral?
What is a composite mineral?
These mineral beads are not natural minerals in the true sense of the word and cannot be found in nature on their own. They are man-made minerals created from several natural or synthetic minerals.
However, thanks to mixing different types of natural or synthetic minerals in a random ratio, a beautiful random pattern is created that in many ways convincingly resembles a natural mineral.
How is it made?
Composite minerals are artificially created.
- The base is a powdered binder from which a basic paste-like mass is made.
- Into this paste, pieces of other minerals are inserted—fragments or other small unusable pieces that would otherwise go to waste.
- Everything is sintered at high temperatures and shaped under pressure into larger blocks.
- To achieve the best bead appearance, they are processed in the same way as natural minerals.
- They are cut into approximately square-section rods using water-cooled saws and then into cubes.
- The cubes are then ground into round beads using round grinding heads, and finally, holes are drilled to complete them.
- Because the processing of these composite minerals is exactly the same as with fully natural ones, which are not modified, the initial need for shaping the mass using high temperature and pressure means that in the end, such a composite mineral can cost even more than a natural one.

Warning!!
If you find these beads sold by another seller with the claim that they are natural minerals, or that they are mined somewhere, or even claim supernatural properties often attributed to minerals, please report such a scammer to the Czech Trade Inspection Authority.
