Tumbled beads in the shape of a Greek cross made of a synthetic mineral known as golden aventurine (or synthetic sun stone or goldstone) measuring 8 x 8 x 4 mm and with a hole for a thread with a diameter of 1 mm.

The mineral is referred to as a sunstone due to the incredibly beautiful glitter that the beads emit when exposed to light. The more intense the glitter is, the more direct light falls on the bead and is strongest on a bright sunny day - hence its common designation. More correctly, the mineral should be called golden aventurine, as it is a special synthetic variety of this mineral (so its composition is very similar to natural aventurine, but it is made by man). Golden aventurine is produced in a total of three shades - the most common brown, the rarer dark green and the rarest dark blue.

This synthetically produced mineral cannot be confused with real natural sunstone. The golden aventurine got the designation "sun stone" only thanks to the beautiful golden glitter when irradiated with sunlight.
