Clear elastic cord of the German brand GRIFFIN with a thickness of 1 mm made of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) in a roll of 25 meters wound on a spool. TPU is one of the elastomers and, compared to polyester, it is thermally stable, does not over stretch, has a precisely defined extensibility and is thus guaranteed to last significantly longer.

The thermoplasticity of polyurethane provides the cord with exceptional properties, thanks to which its expansion with temperature changes only minimally. There is no danger that in cold weather the material will be less elastic and at higher temperatures, on the contrary, the cord will soften and there will be a risk of tearing during stretching. Conventional elastomers such as polyester present these problems. If you are looking for an elastomer that will last for years to decades and still retain the same flexibility, be sure to choose thermoplastic polyurethane. Thanks to German technologies and many years of experience, the GRIFFIN TPU fiber is one of the highest quality elastomers ever.

The GRIFFIN elastic cord is ideal for the production of elastic jewelry, such as bracelets, hair bands and children's jewelry. Necklaces made of GRIFFIN elastic sleeve retain permanent soft elasticity, can be stretched up to twice their original length and are very durable. GRIFFIN elastic cord for jewelry can be knotted and, unlike softer polyester, it is significantly more suitable for threading minerals and other beads with sharp edges with a bead hole diameter greater than 1 mm.
