Oval crimp bead made of 201 stainless steel with a diameter of 7 mm, a height of 3.5 mm and a hole for a thread with a diameter of 2 mm. The crimp bead has a rubber filling inside the hole, thanks to which every string material is perfectly pressed into it without the possibility of slipping or pulling out. A crimp bead made of stainless (or surgical) steel does not change color or corrode, and it is therefore suitable for use with jewelry intended for everyday wear.
The stainless (surgical) steel alloy from which the components are made is referred to as SAE 201. In addition to iron, as the main component, it usually contains around 16-18 % chromium and 5.5-7.5 % manganese and 3.5-5.5 % nickel. It is a type of stainless steel, which is commonly used, for example, as a part of steel inserts in kitchen utensils, as a basis for steel car frames (doors, roofs) and can also be found in insulating windows
